One of the good things of waking up hours before the sun for work, is that occasionally I get to see some cool things in the sky.
This morning, I woke up, and went outside to see the Beaver Moon Eclipse
Apparently it's the longest partial lunar eclipse in 600 years!
If i got up earlier, I would have seen that it was 97% shaded. As it was, I took the picture about 1 hour AFTER the optimal time.
And..for reference, i took a picture of the moon just a couple hours later.
FYI, it's called a Beaver Moon because that's when Beaver traps were set....or Beavers were preparing for winter.
