National HIV Testing Day

The Brazos County Health District is hosting free rapid HIV testing from 8:30 to 3:30 on June 27th at 201 N Texas Ave, Bryan, TX 77803 in honor of National HIV Testing Day.

No appointment is necessary, and all sexually active adults are encouraged to know their HIV status by being tested.

Brazos County ranks 24th in Texas for cases of people living with HIV and 25th for cases of AIDS1. Experts from Stanford University found that testing and early treatment can increase the average life-expectancy of those with HIV by 12 years and decrease the number of infections by an average of 35.3%2.

Community partners from Project Unity and the Pride Community Center will be in the lobby to exhibit their services and offer support to those being tested. For more information, visit www.brazoshealth.org
