Queens of the Stone Age Loses Another TV Spot Over Assault Incident

Queens of the Stone Age's scheduled appearance on Thursday's "Ellen" was abruptly canceled this week after frontman Josh Homme was pictured on video kicking a photographer's camera into her face.

The incident happened Saturday, December 9, at QotSA's Los Angeles show. Losing the "Ellen" appearance was the second TV spot the band lost this week as fallout from the incident—the first one being a booking on the BBC.

For his part, Homme has twice apologized for the incident, first saying he was "lost in performance" and that he didn't notice the photographer.

In his second apology, Homme added that he doesn't "have any excuse of reason to justify" what he did, saying "I was a total dick, and I'm truly sorry, and I hope you're okay."

The photographer, Chelsea Lauren said in a social media post following the incident that she was treated in the ER of a local hospital after the incident and that she planned to file charges against Homme.

Queens of the Stone Age's next tour begins in late January.
