Texas Weekend of Remembrance is set for Friday through Sunday, May 24-26, at Veterans Park and Athletic Complex. Admission is free. Military members, veterans, their families, and everyone who would like to honor our fallen heroes and celebrate the freedom they have blessed us with are invited.
The Remembrance Ceremony is scheduled for Saturday at 6:30 p.m., featuring the Brazos Valley Patriot Guard Riders, Presentation of Colors, National Anthem, Roll Call, rifle salute, and Taps performed by the Texas Aggie Band bugler. Keynote speakers are Gold Star parents Marykay and Bill Edwards.
Following the ceremony will be a free concert featuring Shane Smith & The Saints and Scooter Brown Band. Gates open at 7:30 p.m.
