Before joining one another on stage Sunday in Kilkenny, Ireland, the two Rock and Roll Hall of Famers had not appeared together since a 1994 gig at New York City's Roseland Ballroom.
Despite Dylan and Young's perceived disdain for nostalgia, the song they performed was the same one they performed in 1975 during their very first live collaboration, "Will the Circle Be Unbroken?"
The Christian hymn was written in 1907 and has been adapted by American folk, blues and country artists often over the decades. It was a favorite of Johnny Cash's, who performed it often in his own live sets.

Young, who often live streams his concerts through his website, noted via social media that the due to technical issues they weren't able to get the stream working yesterday. He says footage of the set will become available to subscribers later in the week, although the Dylan collaboration will be edited out.
Dylan has a long-standing no photos policy at his concerts.
