College Station Noon Lions Club, the cities of Bryan and College Station, and the George H.W. Bush Library and Museum are planning a big Independence Day event for the Brazos Valley. The 61st Annual I Love America Celebration will be at Wolf Pen Creek Amphitheater on Saturday, July 3.
Ten hours of family fun, food, a movie, and a laser light show are planned.
Festivities at Wolf Pen Creek in College Station begin at 2 pm. Free parking is available at Post Oak Mall. Events include:
· Free eye screening for children at the Lions KidSight trailer
· Food trucks
· Free watermelon
· Free nonprofit booths
· Vendor booths
· Free kids’ zone games and art at Wolf Pen Creek Plaza
· Free static displays
· Free live music
Two of the main events are free. At 7 pm, the family movie “Miracle” will be shown. At 9:30 pm, “Dazzling Drama,” a patriotic laser light show will entertain all ages. Both the movie and laser light show are free.
