On Saturday, I went for my 5-mile walk around town.(I Like to walk to get my daily exercise). I generally walk on the sidewalk, but I do get to walk through a park in College Station for a bit of it. I was walking on the sidewalk in the park, when I see a family of three staring up into the trees. I ask, and they say there's an owl there.
Sure enough, a Barred Owl was just sitting in the tree. So, of course, I pull out my phone and take a picture(or 30). The family had seen enough and continued their walk. I stayed to watch it for a bit. It turned it's head, and flew up a few feet to another branch. Then more people came by, and asked what I was looking at, so I told them.
I can't remember the last time I saw an owl in town during the day. So, if you see me looking UP into the trees, it's because I'm looking for an owl. Hopefully he'll stop by again.
