This past Friday I went to the CWMP in The Woodlands to see the "Best of All Worlds" tour with Sammy Hagar.
Loverboy opened up the show
They put on a fun show, including
- Notorious
- Lucky Ones
- Lovin' Every Minute of it
- The Kid is Hot Tonight
- Take me to the top
- Hot Girls in Love
- Turn Me Loose
- Working for the weekend.
Of course the crowd was singing along to Working for the Weekend, which was fun.
THen...it was the main course.... Sammy Hagar, Michael Anthony, Jason Bonham and Joe Satriani.
I think it was a fun Tribute to Van Halen. Joe Satriani did a phenomal job…..didn’t try to replicate/mimic eddie, but hit all the notes
Sammy had fun…. he was signing autographs of things people threw on stage, including an Astros jersey.
He brought out a bottle of tequila drank from bottle…and gave Michael Anthony a swig...then, during “Mas Tequila” he poured some into those in front row.
I thought Jason Bonham's tribute to his father was awesome. (note John Bonhams face on the drums)
It was a fun set list, a couple of songs I' wasn't as familiar with, and the only puzzling choice to me was the song they chose to end the concert with. I figured they'd end it with a rockin' tune

Of course the Beer/Water prices were crazy, as was the merch.
I tried getting a shirt, but they didn't have my size....oh well.
