I mentioned on an earlier blog that the weather was ideal when I was on vacation last week in Leavenworth, WA. So we took advantage and did several outdoor things.
Including a rollercoaster on the side of the mountain.
Here's one of the views I got to see
They have a camera that takes your picture, but they don't tell you where it is....I saw it and was telling some of my family behind me...which is why my mouth is partly open
It was a fun ride, a bit pricy, but worth doing once. Another fun thing we did, was an hour float trip down a river with some rapids.
We started by having to carry the tubes down a hill...and they recommended carrying them like this...
I didn't take my phone (for pictures) because I didn't want to get it wet or lose it....but I did take a go-pro and got this screen shot
The float trip was one of the more fun things we did on the trip (in my top 3). We had a group of 7 doing it, and we were very well spread apart. It was interesting to see how some went faster than others down the river. Our "paddles" were just 2 frisbees.
Another adventure we did was on electric bikes!
We booked an hour long tour, though half of it was on a road...the rest was on a trail.
Once again, I filmed with my Go Pro, and took this screen shot of going under a tree. The electric bikes are fun, because you get the feeling of the speed on a bike, but don't HAVE To pedal. You can either have no assists, some pedal assist, or....not pedal at all!
One morning, we took a ski-lift to the top of a mountain (where there would normally be skiing, but in the summer, we found a disc golf course
Unfortunately, I didn't bring my discs (or have time to play a full round), but I did have a packable cloth frisbee with me, so I did throw it into the basket.
We also did a bunch of hiking to some scenic waterfalls. Here's some pics

And finally, here's a pic of me down by the river right next to the house we rented. It was quite the scramble down, but it was worth it to stick my hand in the water.
What a fun trip it was! I wasn't sure when my family suggested Leavenworth (yes, I thought of a prison first), but I was pleasantly surprised.
Thanks for checking out my blog.
K.C.ya!
