KISS frontman Paul Stanley is mourning the death of his father, William Eisen, who passed away recently at age 101.
Stanley announced his father's passing Sunday evening, remembering William as a family man with a love for learning.
"My dad William Eisen has left this earth after 101 years & 7 months," Stanley wrote via Twitter. "His thirst for knowledge never wained. He could speak on virtually any subject. His pride in my accomplishments was heartwarming as was seeing his love of my family. He said he'd always be with me and he will."
Despite his constant travels as a rocker, Stanley remained close to his parents throughout his career.
Both William and Eva Eisen were Holocaust survivors. William was imprisoned at five different Nazi concentration camps before he was liberated. In the 1950s, the Eisens moved to New York City, where their two children Julia and Paul were born and raised.
Eva passed away in 2012 at age 88.
