Guns N’ Roses Confirms 2025 World Tour, Fans Hope for New Album and Classic Lineup

Guns N' Roses teased a potential 2025 tour with a video on social media titled "Because What You Want And What You Get Are Two Completely Different Things". Fans can anticipate a full tour itinerary to be revealed soon. The band's last concert was at the Hell & Heaven festival in Toluca, Mexico on November 5, 2023.

Joel/Nicks Announce Two 2025 Shows Together

Billy Joel and Stevie Nicks will be doing two concerts together next year. The Rock-and-Roll Hall-of-Famers will co-headline shows at Ford Field in Detroit next March and at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey in August.Joel also has five shows with Sting scheduled for 2025, the first show set for February in Indianapolis. The Piano Man also has a show lined up with Rod Stewart in Pittsburgh next summer.

MNF John Lennon Interview Surfaces On Anniversary Of Death

A video of a live interview with John Lennon on Monday Night Football is going viral on the 44th anniversary of his death. Lennon was interviewed by Howard Cosell during halftime of the Los Angeles Rams' game against Washington during the 1974 season.Lennon called American football "an amazing event" and said it "makes rock concerts look like tea parties." When Cosell asked about the possibility of a Beatles reunion, Lennon said "You never know, it's always in the wind," and then joked if a reunion looks like the game he's watching, "it might be worth doing."Lennon was shot to death outside his Manhattan apartment building on December 8th, 1980. In an ironic twist, Cosell announced Lennon's death that night during Monday Night Football.

Weezer, New Order And More To Play Kilby Block Party 2025

The Kilby Block Part is announcing the lineup for the 2025 edition.Weezer, New Order, Beach House, and Justice are set to headline the four-day festival in Salt Lake City. The event took place at the Utah State Fair Park from May 15th to the 18th. The lineup also includes Devo, Future Islands, Yo La Tengo, Saint Vincent and more.Four-day passes for the Kilby Block Party are available now.

"Becoming Led Zeppelin, the first official documentary about the iconic rock band, is set to be released with a trailer offering a glimpse into the film. The doc features rare footage, interviews, and never-before-seen content, including an interview with the late drummer John Bonham. Director Bernard MacMahon spent five years uncovering unseen material from the band's personal archives, promising a fresh look at the legendary group. The film will premiere in IMAX theaters on February 7, offering a unique and immersive experience for fans and newcomers alike."

Tommy Shaw: "New Styx Album Coming"

If Tommy Shaw has too much time on his hands, he's putting it to good use.The Styx vocalist and guitarist confirms the band is "working on a new album." Shaw says he and other bandmates have "stumbled upon" a new songwriting process while touring, which has resulted in "a whole bunch of songs." Shaw says, in fact, "too many songs." He did not provide details about a release date or even an album title.But Shaw did say it will be "a great rock album."

Styx, Kevin Cronin Announce Summer 2025 Tour

We don't know when the next Styx album is coming out, but we do know the dates of a Styx tour for next summer. Styx and former REO Speedwagon frontman Kevin Cronin kick off "The Brotherhood of Rock" tour on May 28th in Greenville, South Carolina.Other stops in the cross-country tour include Austin, Texas and Bend, Oregon before wrapping up in Milwaukee on August 24th. Cronin "retired" REO Speedwagon effective the end of this year due to "irreconcilable differences." Cronin says he and Styx go way back as "rival" bands in Chicago, acknowledging that Styx was "a little bit older, a little bit better, and got the hotter girls" back in the day. Former Eagles guitarist Don Felder is billed as a "Special Guest" on the tour.

Jake E. Lee Says He’s Lucky Bullet Missed His Spine

Former Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Jake E. Lee narrowly avoided paralysis after being shot in a late-night attack near his Las Vegas home. Lee interrupted two men attempting to steal a motorcycle, leading to a barrage of gunfire. The second bullet hit him in the back, fracturing ribs and puncturing his lung, but miraculously missed his spine. Lee shared graphic photos of his wounds and expressed gratitude for his luck, vowing to put the incident behind him and focus on the future.

Iron Maiden Drummer Plays Final Show

After more than four decades with Iron Maiden, drummer Nicko McBrain has played his "final gig." Prior to showtime, McBrain posted on the band's official website that he's made "the decision to take a step back from the grind of the extensive touring lifestyle" and this past Saturday's concert in Sao Paulo would be his last.  McBrain suffered a stroke in January 2023, but was back with the band when they kicked off their "Future Past Tour just four months later. The Sao Paulo show was the final stop in the year-and-a-half tour. After closing with "Wasted Years," the band left McBrain alone on the stage to soak up the adulation from the crowd. Iron Maiden announced that British Lion drummer Simon Dawson will succeed McBrain when the band opens their "Run For Your Lives Tour" May 27th in Budapest, Hungary.

40th Anniversary Of First Roger Hodgson Solo Album

Fans of Supertramp are marking the 40th anniversary of former member Roger Hodgson's first solo album after leaving the band. "In the Eye of the Storm" only peaked at number 46 on the Billboard 200 in December 1984, but sold two-million copies worldwide.The lead single "Had a Dream" was a mainstay on album rock radio throughout the fall of '84. It would be a few months later that Supertramp would release their first album without Hodgson, "Brother Where You Bound." The title cut was more than 16 minutes long and featured guitar solos by Pink Floyd's David Gilmour.

Creedence Clearwater Revival studio albums getting special color-vinyl release

Creedence Clearwater Revival's seven studio albums will be released on special color vinyl in February, with each album featuring a unique color like Mardi Gras purple and Bayou Sunset. The albums include hits like "Proud Mary" and "Bad Moon Rising." The colored vinyl editions will be available for preorder and released on Feb. 14. Frontman John Fogerty will also perform three shows in Las Vegas in January.

Alice Cooper And Slash Teamed Up For Kid-Friendly Single "Freewheelin"

Alice Cooper, his daughter Calico Cooper, and Slash teamed up for the single “Freewheelin’.” That single appears on “Solid Rock Revival,” a compilation album that came out earlier this year. That album features performances and song remakes by the Rock For Children band, headlined by Alice Cooper, with songs aimed at children. The song “Freewheelin’” features Alice and his daughter Calico singing about hitting the road on their bikes…and even getting training wheels removed. Slash comes in for a guitar solo to kick things up a notch as well.
